Relay module REL2

The relay adapter is used as an interface between the SSU (or similar) galvanic power supply unit and the fire control panel (VDC) or zone addressable fire alarm module connected via loop to the VDC.

As an interface, it monitors the "states" of the SSU and maps them to a VDC group or zone module by connecting a terminal element (EOL), an alarm detection element (Ralarma) and a short circuit resistance in parallel to a fire alarm line of that group. compound (Rsc). This determines the current thresholds for detecting the condition of a line monitored by a VDC with or without a zone module.

The values and elements of EOL and Ralarm are mounted under row terminals depending on what the module or VDC is looking for for a particular line state (calm state, alarm state). The short-circuit condition of the line is determined by a resistance less than 100R and this resistance is already mounted on the REL 2 board and does not have to be added as an external element under the REL 2 terminal block.

For the rest, it is necessary to connect the elements that determine the calm and alarm condition.

Balance on fire alarm pair:

LINE INTERRUPTION - STANDING STATE - ALARM - SHORT CONNECTION determines the threshold values read by the REL 2 device from the SSU galvanic isolation device at terminals C1 + C1- and C2 + C2-.
